From the start of his tenure at La Pira he noticed that despite the closeness of his vineyard sites, one produced a more elegant, perfumed and lithe wine while another made a more powerful and somber wine. Rather than blend the two together, he decided that the terroir called for two wines thus La Pira and Las Flors were born. A blend of mainly
